Grounding (Earthing) – How To Use The Earth’s Energy For Optimal Health | Over 50

Hi! I'm Darnell Cox Live Young Lifestyle and today we're talking about grounding grounding (also known as earthing) has so many health benefits and it's so easy to do all you do is take shoes off and get outside put your feet in the grass in the dirt or in the sand and it's a natural way to use the earth's energy for healing so how does it work well the earth is negatively charged and within our bodies our atoms sometimes get positively charged we lose electrons and this creates these free radicals in our body so when we step onto the earth the earth absorbs all of those free radicals and neutralizes them so it's a natural way to heal your body and there is a plethora of health benefits so the plethora of health benefits includes neutralizing free radicals reducing stress reducing depression it promotes better sleep it lowers blood pressure it boosts your immune system helps with microbiome so just even having your feet in the dirt in the sand on the earth you're you're creating a more diverse microbiome in your gut so all of this is related it also helps to reduce inflammation throughout the entire body which is the root cause of all major illnesses and diseases it reduces all of those cortisol levels so all of that fight & flight hormone levels you know the world has just a little bit more fast paced than it was like 50 years ago so our cortisol levels are already at this higher resting state grounding (earthing) helps to reduce those cortisol levels and you can actually see that through blood work and it also helps with chronic pain management just sitting out here for five minutes helps sometimes if I have a busy day and I don't have – you know- I don't really have the time I'll come out here and I'll have my cup of tea so at least I know okay so for five or ten minutes I am connecting with the earth and you can feel your blood pressure drop you can feel the anxiety and any minor sadness just kind of melt away this is a very miraculous thing that this planet gives us and it's absolutely free so with all of these health benefits why aren't more people doing it? why aren't we benefiting from this natural healing source of the earth? well our world has become super sterile, right? we're disinfecting everything and we're walking around with rubber-soled shoes and people can go years without actually touching the earth it's one of the most under prescribed health hacks that I know and I wish more doctors were telling people about that so this one time farm girl who grew up running around barefoot and escaped to the big city has come full circle and I'm getting my feet in the grass every single day so get outside take your shoes off get your feet on the earth it is a simple profound health hack and a really good way to Live Young!
