Hello friends, me(Atul Kumar Verma) welcomes you once again on my YouTube Channel FitnessRockers Friends, if you haven’t follow FitnessRockers on InstaGram yet then Please do it as I am available there too… Since childhood all our elders used to suggest to chew properly as its good for digestion No doubt its a good habit but if you are doing bodybuilding and want to gain muscles then it becomes more important In this video I will share some scientific facts after which you will promise yourself to chew properly always We all know that biggest source of energy is carbohydrates e.g.

roti, rice, bread etc. But we dont get energy from these directly When we have these then first these convert into maltose and then it converts into glucose which finally converts into… ATP i.

e. actual energy If you want to know more about ATP then watch our previous video related to creatine…

Link of this video is available in cards above and in description as i have explained ATP cycle in that video in depth Protein, carbs and fat need diff enzymes for digestion for Protein we need protease, for fat we need lipase and for carbs we need amylase Here we are talking about carbs and for carbs amylase either secrete in your mouth while chewing through salivary glands or they get secreted in duodenum i.

e. part of small intestine If you are thinking that i forgot stomach in carbs digestion…

But actually carbs doesn’t digest in stomach.

.. yes you heard it right…

Lets look at the logic behind it When we chew amylase mix in the chewed food through salivary glands and amylase is alkaline And stomach have HCL and gastric juices which very acidic. so, So, when chewed food mixed with amylase comes in contact with acidic juices in stomach then amylase get neutralized And we already discussed carbs need amylase for digestion and now there is no amylase in stomach so it means no digestion of carbs in stomach Now this chewed food will go into the duodenum then only it will get digested as pancreas will secrete pancreatic amylase there So which logic carbs with either get digested in mouth or in duodenum and you will be surprised to know that you can digest 30% of carbs in mouth itself by chewing properly If you do so then you will not feel full after having your carbs meal as it take time to reach duodenum So if we could digest 30% in mouth then carbs will take lesser time to digest But if you swallow without chewing properly then the work load of duodenum will increase and for the digestion of unchewed food duodenum will burn energy and in result you will feel lethargic and sleepy we all know that for good bodybuilding session we need a good pre workout meal full of carbs and calories which we have to take 1 to 1.5 hours before our workout session with the discussed logic if you dont chew your pre workout meal properly then when your body need energy you will feel sleepy I hope that you understood the whole concept that whats the significance of chewing.

For muscle gaining how much carbs, protein and fats you need is all covered in a previous video links for same is in cards and description Other then these i am also providing links for some muscle gain diet plans too.
